Groove Brno celebrates its coming of age and transforms into a full-fledged summer open-air festival focusing on the Central European funk-soul community.
For 18 years Groove Brno has been bringing you the best international and local stars of funk, soul, jazz fusion and related genres. Previously a bimonthly autumn series of concerts in Brno’s clubs and concert halls, this year it will be concentrated into two summer days in a unique location, the enchanting Kozí horky meadow by the Brno Reservoir, where we will meet in the open air, right by the water.

Over the years, Groove Brno has hosted countless stars of the music scene – world-famous Tower of Power, Earth, Wind & Fire, Incognito, breathtaking Cory Henry, cult Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Swedish stars Dirty Loops, one of the world’s best bassists Ida Nielsen, singer, multi-instrumentalist, former Michael Jackson singer Judith Hill, Postmodern Jukebox, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Germany’s Jazzanova, Icelandic greats Mezzoforte, the legendary Victor Wooten, British soul king Omar Lyefook, Danish ultra funk trombonist Nils Landgren, Grammy winner Kurt Elling, James Brown soloist Maceo Parker, 90s icon Freak Power or Ghost-Note, Electro Deluxe, Philip Lassiter, the extraterrestrial MonoNeon, the groundbreaking Lettuce and Spyro Gyra, and many, many more. But every year we also give a chance to young talents and create special projects for our festival.
